As the year draws to a close, I’d like to extend a thank you to our team, customers and suppliers for their continued support throughout the last 12 months. It has been another incredible year for Eclipse Wholesale and none of our achievements would’ve been possible without their hard work.
Eclipse Wholesale has reached several major milestones this year, including a record-breaking performance with 26% overall sales growth and 57% growth in our partner base. Thanks to this momentum, we are firmly on track to hit our £5m revenue target for 2026 and are expected to reach it by May.

Alongside our commercial success, our team has also expanded, welcoming new members to both our customer service and sales departments. These additions bring a wealth of knowledge and industry experience, and I’m really pleased with how our team is evolving. It was great to also recognise internal talent this year, promoting Sherri Lockey, who has been with Eclipse for over a decade, to Head of Customer Service and Matthew Begg to Sales Director.

A major focus at the start of the year was our switch off project. Although the deadline was extended to 2027, we made the decision to stick to the original timeline.
Through careful planning and a lot of hard work across all departments, we successfully migrated the majority of our legacy copper services by May 2025. This was a demanding project, and I’m proud of how our team rose to the challenge. Being ahead of the deadline places us in a great position to support other providers and resellers with their own migrations. I encourage anyone who is going through or yet to go through this process to reach out to us for any advice or just a chat. Last September, we launched our charity partnership with Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, setting a fundraising goal of £2,500 for our ‘Name a Puppy’ campaign. This April, we took on the challenge of walking the full 84-mile length of Hadrian’s Wall over six days from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend. With the incredible support from partners, customers, family and friends we more than doubled our initial target and raised just under £7,000.

After exceeding our goal, we were able to name two guide dog puppies, one name chosen by the Eclipse team and the other by our partners and followers. The winning names were Poppy and Jango, both born this summer and now beginning their journeys, preparing to change someone’s life.
Following this success, we’re proud to be supporting Guide Dogs for a second year, increasing our target to £5,000, which will help support a guide dog puppy throughout its raising. Stay tuned for updates on our 2026 fundraising plans and the next big challenge (hopefully one with limited toenails lost)…

This year also saw the launch of our new short-from video series, ‘Channel Corner with James Drake’. Designed to offer quick and insightful updates to our partners and the wider telecoms industry, the series provides real-time advice from myself and the wider Eclipse team. With four episodes already live and excellent feedback from viewers, we’re excited to continue this series into the new year. Watch the series so far here: Channel Corner with James Drake.
In November, we hosted our inaugural annual partner event at the Live Theatre in Newcastle, marking a significant milestone in our growth journey. The event brought together partners and suppliers for a day of industry insights and great discussions. Sponsored by five of our key suppliers, 8x8, CityFibre, ITS, Tekton Billing and Zen Internet, attendees enjoyed a full programme of presentations and networking led by both the Eclipse team and our sponsors.

We ended the day with a celebration of Eclipse Wholesale’s 21st anniversary, bringing everyone together to mark over two decades of success. Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’re delighted to confirm that this will now be an annual fixture in the Eclipse calendar.
We continue to work closely with our suppliers to bring new opportunities and better solutions to our partners. One of the standouts of this year was the ITS Newcastle network build, allowing us to offer more reliable and faster connectivity right on our doorstep.

We hosted an online event to launch this new city centre network, led by our Sales Director, Matthew, and Product Director at ITS, Pete England, which generated a lot of buzz around this project. This new build will play a key role in helping businesses across Newcastle upgrade their connectivity and we’re proud to be named ITS’s preferred strategic partner for this launch.

It has been a jam-packed year with countless achievements. I’m incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our team, and I’m grateful for the continued trust and support of our customers and suppliers.

Thank you once again to everyone who has been part of Eclipse Wholesale’s journey this year. We’re excited to carry this momentum into 2026 and look forward to another year of success.

Merry Christmas and see you in the new year!
