Earlier this year, we were thrilled to announce our sponsorship of Blagdon Park Cricket Club’s first-ever international player. In April, the club welcomed 22-year-old Cameron Lombaard from Knysna, South Africa, to join their first team.
Cameron, a skilled batsman, has an impressive cricket background, with over 15 years of experience across multiple levels, including representative and university cricket, as well as premier league cricket in Port Elizabeth. His career highlights include a top score of 123 runs, showcasing his skill and expertise as a key player.

Based on the Blagdon estate, Blagdon Park Cricket Club is a thriving club with two senior Saturday teams competing in the Northumberland/Tyneside Cricket League. Cameron made a significant impact during the season, including an impressive 72-run performance and a vital role in helping the club win the T20 Cup, where he was named Player of the Match in the final.

James Drake, Managing Director of Eclipse Wholesale, says “Supporting local talent and communities is central to our mission at Eclipse Wholesale. As a former player myself, I was especially excited for this partnership with Blagdon Park Cricket
Club and proud to support Cameron in his journey, adding tremendous value to the North East cricket scene."

This partnership reflects our broader commitment to championing local talent and strengthening community ties. Supporting Blagdon Park Cricket Club and Cameron's journey has been a rewarding experience and we are excited about the future opportunities for both the club and the North East cricket community.
