Eclipse Wholesale Celebrates 20th Anniversary After a Record-Breaking Financial Year

This September, Eclipse Wholesale celebrated an incredible milestone—our 20th anniversary! We hosted a special anniversary event in Newcastle, surrounded by long-standing partners, sponsors, and friends who have been with us on this journey. Supported by our key partners and sponsors, Zen, 8x8, ITS, and Zest4, the event was the perfect opportunity to express our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to our success over the years.
Since James Drake founded Eclipse Wholesale in 2004, we’ve grown to become a significant player in the telecoms industry, and our channel-only partner programme has been a huge part of that success. To mark the occasion, we hosted the celebration at St Vincent, Quayside wine bar. Our guests enjoyed delicious food, drinks, and lively entertainment provided by acoustic duo Sophistrio and comedian Matt Reed, who made sure the night was unforgettable.
This celebration followed on from our most successful financial year to date. We achieved a 26% increase in revenue, expanded our team by 33%, and welcomed 48% more partners into our base. These milestones reflect the growth and hard work that have brought us to where we are today.
Leading up to the event, our team collaborated with Claire Eason from Soul2Sand to create an 80-foot sand masterpiece of our logo at Beadnell Bay, a project that highlights our commitment to our core value of teamwork. View here
During his celebration speech, James Drake announced some exciting news that Eclipse Wholesale had chosen Guide Dogs for the Blind as their charity of the year. The team will run a series of fundraising events over the year, the first being a 100km dog walk throughout October. We launched our fundraising efforts that evening with initial donations totalling £400.
Reflecting on the evening, James said, “It was great to be able to get together to not only take the opportunity to reflect on our journey but to thank everyone who has played a part in our success over the last two decades. A huge thank you to the St Vincent team, Sophistrio and Matt Reed for making the night so special with their amazing service and entertainment. Looking forwards, Eclipse Wholesale remains committed to continuing
our dedicated work in the channel and our community. I’m thrilled to announce Guide Dogs as our charity of the year and I’m delighted to see that we’ve already raised £400 towards our target after just one weekend!”
As we look to the future, we’re excited about our upcoming projects and look forward to continuing our growth with all our channel partners. Here’s to the next 20 years!
