Charity of the Year: Guide Dogs
We are proud to announce that Guide Dogs is Eclipse Wholesale’s Charity of the Year for 2025!
Guide Dogs is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting people living with vision impairment. Their vision is a future where every person with sight loss has the confidence and support to live their lives to the full.
We launched our partnership with Guide Dogs at our 20th anniversary event in September, announcing our Name a Puppy campaign with the goal of raising £2,500 to name a guide dog puppy. Since then, we have had the privilege of meeting the local Guide Dogs team, learning about the essential services they provide and witnessing firsthand how our fundraising directly supports their work.
Fundraising Highlights
Here’s a look at the activities we’ve been involved in since our partnership began:
Eclipse Wholesale Christmas Fair:
In November, we hosted a festive Christmas Fair at Eclipse HQ, featuring cakes, treats, Christmas gifts and hot drinks. The fair was a huge success, with great support from our neighbours on the business park. We also got the opportunity to welcome more members of the Guide Dogs team and meet their fluffy companions.
Christmas Jumper Day:
Eclipse Wholesale hosts an annual Christmas Jumper Day, and this year, we decided to dedicate it to our 'Name a Puppy' campaign. The team proudly donned their festive knits to continue our fundraising efforts.
Hadrian's Wall Challenge:
In April, the Eclipse Wholesale team undertook the challenge of walking the full 84-mile length of Hadrian’s Wall, from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend, over six days. The whole team got involved, whether lacing up their boots or supporting from their desk, it was a true team effort. It was a tough trek, but the overwhelming support from our partners, customers, friends and family helped us more than double our initial £2,500 target, raising £5,172.

What’s Next?
Having surpassed our fundraising goal, it’s time for the exciting part… choosing the names for our future guide dog puppies!
The Eclipse Wholesale team will be selecting one male and one female name, while giving all those who supported us the chance to choose a unisex name.
We’re so proud of the work we have done with Guide Dogs so far, and pleased to support such an incredible charity. Stay tuned as we reveal our chosen names for our puppies and share more about our ongoing fundraising efforts.
